Styrene acrylic latex polymer for high gloss wall and trim paints with stain resistance at 150 g/l VOC
Acronal Optive 310 is a styrene acrylic latex polymer intended
for alkyd-like high gloss wall and trim applications. Acronal
Optive 310 paint films have a good balance of exterior durability
and toughness making them suitable for both interior and
exterior applications.
Paints made with Acronal Optive 310 demonstrate excellent
resistance to common household stains, household chemicals,
and abrasive cleaners. The superior wet adhesion allows
formulators to make paints that adhere to a wide range of
surface types, under a variety of conditions.
Acronal Optive 310 also can be formulated into paints at higher
PVCs to attain semi-gloss to eggshell finishes, while maintaining
its performance features. Acronal Optive 310 can be formulated
to give a high gloss latex enamel at 150 g/L VOC with excellent
block resistance, adhesion, and freeze/thaw stability.

Acronal Optive 310 can be used to develop light industrial wood
coatings such as shutter finishes and fast-dry cabinet primers where
early block and print resistance under force-dried factory conditions
is desired.
