Acronal S 760 is a medium-viscosity fine dispersion that crosslinks on
drying to form a clear, non-tacky film. Owing to good compatibility with
anticorrosive pigments and the great photochemical stability of its film, it is
possible to formulate primers and finishes with one and the same binder.
Even the unpigmented film is largely resistant to flash rust.
The main application for Acronal S 760 is in water-based anticorrosion
systems. The primers are formulated with reactive anticorrosive pigments
(chemical corrosion protection). Top coats can be coloured to almost any
desired shade.
Paints can also be formulated for difficult substrates like zinc and
aluminium.
Easily sandable pigmented coatings can be made given an appropriate
choice of extender. This property can be exploited in formulating primers.
Medium-viscosity fine aqueous dispersion of a self-crosslinking butyl acrylate/styrene copolymer. Used in water-based anticorrosion paints and primers and in paints for difficult substrates like zinc and aluminium. Forms clear, non-tacky film. Offers good compatibility with
anticorrosive pigments, great photochemical stability and resistance to flash rust. Can be used for colored top coats and easily sandable pigmented coatings.
