Intended for physically drying paints for iron and steel, non-ferrous metals, mineral substrates and plastics. Also as a binder for printing inks and road-marking paints. Nature Copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl isobutyl ether Compatibility Laroflex MP 15 is compatible or has restricted compatibility with vinyl chlo-ride copolymers, polyacrylates, unsaturated polyester resins, maleate resins, cyclohexanone resins, aldehyde resins, coumarone resins, hydro-carbon resins, urea-formaldehyde resins, modified alkyd resins, natural resins, drying oils, plasticizers, tars and bitumen. Laroflex MP 15 dissolves to form a low-viscosity, non-hydrolyzable binder for anticorrosion paints; for coatings on galvanized steel, nonferrous met-als, concrete, and fibrous cement; road marking paints; flame-retardant paints on incombustible building materials; printing inks; and marine and container coatings. It can be formulated together with most alkyd resins, drying oils, polyacrylates, liquid epoxy resins, tars and bitumen. The proportion of plasticizer in the typical formulations recommended in our Technical Information Bulletins for the other Laroflex MP products should be 10 –15% less in Laroflex MP 15 formulations.
