Incorporation Methods and Processing Instructions
To achieve full effectiveness, the defoamer should be added prior to the grinding process. If added during a
later stage, the available shear forces must be high enough to ensure good distribution of the defoamer in order
to prevent cratering. The full effect of the defoamer is achieved 24 hours after incorporation into the system.
Special Properties and Advantages
BYK-060 BYK-060 is highly efficient and offers optimum defoaming while utilizing only minimal
quantities of incompatible substances. Preferred binders are: epoxies, two-pack
polyurethane systems, alkyd/melamine, alkyds, self-crosslinking acrylates, and vinyl
resins.
