Properties
Baysilone®-Paint Additive M 101 acts as a flow-promoter, appreciably reduces surface tension and prevents horizontal floating of pigments.
Applications
Baysilone®-Paint Additive M 101 is particularly effective in systems which dry physically, in alkyd / amino resin combinations and in silicone resin paints. Its binder compatibility is limited.
Addition rate
0.01 - 0.05% based on solids content.
Recoatability
Although direct loss of recoatability and adhesion between base and top coat is not generally likely to be observed, we recommend that the product is used mainly in top coats as Baysilone®-Paint Additive M 101 may intensify any such defects, the causes of which include over-baking.
