Properties
Baysilone®-Paint Additive OL 17 is an effective flow-promoter and also improves surface smoothness. lt eliminates spray structures, orange-peel and prevents the formation of craters.
Applications
Baysilone®-Paint Additive OL 17 is characterised by good binder compatibility and a high degree of efficiency in many binders. lt is particularly suitable for chemically curing systems, primarily Desmodur® / Desmophen® paints. Baysilone®-Paint Additive OL 17 is water-soluble but its use in such solutions should always be preceded by extensive trials on account of their limited stability in water-borne binders.
Addition rate
0.05 - 0.5% based on solids content.
Recoatability
Loss of adhesion between base on top coat or of recoatability is unlikely at low addition rates. Such defects, the causes of which include over-baking, may be intensified, however.
