Applications Desmorapid® LS 2318 is particularly suitable for use in the Desmocap/amine reaction. The addition of up to 5 % of this catalyst will reduce drying time for example, from 12 hours to approx. 30 minutes. The pot life thus varies from approx. 4,5 hours to 4 minutes. This acceleration of the reaction is also possible at 0°C. Desmorapid® LS 2318 cannot be used to accelerate the epoxy resin/amine reaction. Test must be carried out to determine the amount of catalyst required for Desmorapid/epoxy resin mixtures. Desmorapid® LS 2318 should always be added to the hardner component.
