Description
Octa-Soligen® 146 is a combination drier that contains no heavy metals. It is suitable for use in solventborne systems that dry by oxidation.
Properties
On account of its balanced metal content, Octa-Soligen® 146 ensures uniform drying of the paint film. As it has a low cobalt content, it keeps the film open long enough to ensure optimum through-drying, thus improving the hardness of the paint film.
Octa-Soligen® 146 is ideal for use in pale-colored formulations.
Applications
Octa-Soligen® 146 is suitable for use in all conventional alkyd systems. It is particularly recommended for alkyd urethane coatings and high-solids systems.
Dosing
The addition of Octa-Soligen® 146 depends on the type of resin used. Generally speaking, the addition is between 3 and 5 %, calculated on the solid binder. The exact amount required must always be determined by preliminary trials.
