THPE-GE is a clear glass that becomes a viscous liquid upon heating (~70 °C) that can be used as a cross linking and branching agent in various polymer applications, for enhancement of key properties including adhesion, hardness, heat resistance and solvent resistance. It may be incorporated into epoxy formulations to increase the tensile, flexural, and compression strength of resin castings. Epoxy resins prepared from THPE-GE target applications requiring high mechanical strength. Epoxy coatings and polymers containing THPE-GE should exhibit excellent heat distortion temperatures and excellent chemical and solvent resistance making THPE-GE modified formulations useful for high temperature adhesive, aerospace applications, laminates and chemical resistant vinyl ester resins. Tris-glycidyl ether reactive intermediate. Used as a crosslinking or branching agent in various polymer applications such as epoxy coatings. Enhances adhesion, hardness, heat resistance and solvent resistance. Increases tensile, flexural, and compression strength. Offers very good heat distortion temperatures and very good chemical resistance.
