GLASCOL LE15 are resins developed for water-borne inks. The key benefits of GLASCOL LE15 are:
good pigment wetting properties
excellent machine stability (e.g. rapid resolubility)
hydrophilic nature of polymer
excellent viscosity/pH stability
near linear viscosity/dilution curve
GLASCOL LE15 is an emulsion of a carboxylated acrylic copolymer in
water.
GLASCOL LE15 and GLASCOL LS2 are specialty resins designed for use
in water-based inks. The products are recommended as effective binders
in water-based flexographic inks for corrugated boxes and kraft paper.
The products demonstrate excellent machine stability due to the
hydrophilic nature of the polymer and its excellent viscosity/pH stability in the pH range 7.8-9.0 (see below).
Black standard corrugated box inks are still the main recommended
market. Due to the ease of use on standard printing equipment (e.g. rapid resolubility) the products are also recommended as modifiers to more expensive resin systems for higher quality ink applications. Other uses include board coatings (neutralised or in emulsion form), paper coatings or as binders in poster paints or drawing inks.
Emulsion of a carboxylated acrylic copolymer in water. Used as an effective binder in water-based flexographic inks for corrugated boxes and kraft paper. Provides good pigment wetting properties, very good machine stability such as apid resolubility, hydrophilic nature of polymer, very good viscosity/pH stability and near linear viscosity/dilution curve. Can be used as a modifier to more expensive resin systems for higher quality ink applications, in board coatings (neutralised or in emulsion form), paper coatings and as a binder in poster paints or drawing inks.
