*HQHUDO GLASWAX E1 is a water-based wax formulation, designed to
significantly increasing slip and abrasion resistance of water-based inks
and coatings.
$SSOLFDWLRQV GLASWAX E1 is a water-based wax formulation, designed to
significantly increase the slip and abrasion resistance of water-based
inks and coatings:
· flexographic inks
· offset inks
· interior wood topcoats
· exterior wood topcoats
· decorative coatings on cement and concrete
· decorative coatings on plastic substrates
· decorative coatings on metal substrates
GLASWAX E1 mixes easily into water-based systems, but is sensitive
to high shear. Consequently, it should be incorporated into the let-down
phase where pigment grinding does not occur.
GLASWAX E1 has good compatibility with most customary anionic and
non-ionic water-based resins. In particular it is compatible with most
acrylics, styrene acrylic copolymers, polyesters and rosin modified
maleic resins. For optimum compatibility a resin with similar pH should
be used.
Ciba Specialty Chemicals offers a comprehensive product range of
water-based specialty resins for usage as binders in inks and coatings
under the trademark GLASCOL.
Since any component present in a formulation can have significant
impact on the overall coating properties, compatibility and dosage level
should always be checked in the actual formulation.
Aqueous emulsion based on a medium melting point polyethylene wax, designed to significantly increasing slip and abrasion resistance of water-based coatings. Can be used for interior wood topcoats, exterior wood topcoats, decorative coatings on cement and concrete, decorative coatings on plastic substrates, decorative coatings on metal substrates.
