TINUVIN 5055 is a liquid light stabiliser blend developed specifically for coatings. Its high thermal stability and permanence makes it suitable for coatings exposed to high bake temperatures and/or to extreme environmental conditions. It has been designed to fulfil the high cost/performance and durability requirements of trade sales and industrial coatings. Its broad UV absorbance allows efficient protection of light sensitive substrates such as wood and plastics.
TINUVIN 5055 is a versatile light stabiliser which can be used in a wide
variety of clear and pigmented coating systems, based on water-borne or
solvent-borne paint technology. Its use is especially for white and highly
pigmented systems in applications such as:
Wood Coatings (clear or pigmented, solvent-borne or water-borne Stains and Paints, Clear Wood Finishes, Deck Coatings etc…)
House and Trim Paints (e.g. water-borne acrylic dispersions)
1 and 2 component PUR Coatings
Non-PUR Finishes (e.g. high-solids alkyds, vinyl coatings)
Industrial Stoving Enamels (e.g. coil coatings and metal coatings)
Unsaturated Polyester (UPES)/Styrene Gel Coats
Versatile light stabiliser blend. Used for water-borne or solvent-borne clear and pigmented coatings exposed to high bake temperatures and/or to extreme environmental conditions. Offers high thermal stability and permanence, broad UV absorbance and effective protection of light sensitive substrates such as wood and plastics. Suits particularly for white and highly pigmented systems. <br>
Applications: wood coatings (clear or pigmented, solvent-borne or water-borne stains and paints, clear wood finishes, deck coatings), house and trim paints (e.g. water-borne acrylic dispersions), 1 and 2 component PUR coatings, non-PUR finishes (high-solids alkyds, vinyl coatings), industrial stoving enamels (coil coatings and metal coatings) and unsaturated polyester (UPES)/styrene gel coats.
