coatings.
Composition Solution of a polyurethane in water / diluent
DSX® 3256 is an associative polyurethane thickener
designed for the modification of rheology in aqueous
polymer emulsions.
DSX® 3256 improves the stability as well as flow
and gloss, hiding power, wash- and scrub resistance
and reduces splashing during roller application.
Furthermore DSX® 3256 shows excellent film
forming properties, good pigment wetting and a high
UV stability.
Application DSX® 3256 is recommended for use in front
coatings, synthetic plasters, emulsion paints,
adhesives, fillers and anti-corrosive paints.
DSX® 3256 may be added at any stage of paint
manufacture. For producing high gloss coatings, it is
recommended to incorporate DSX® 3256
proportionally before grinding stage.
The dosage depends on system used. Normally it
lies between 1 and 3%.
