DSX® -3515 is a synthetic polyurethane
polymer system designed to improve the
application and flow properties of latex
coatings and adhesives. It is supplied low
viscosity, solvent free product that
allows for easy handling and cleanup.
DSX® -3515 is recommended for use in high
volume solids paints in which performance
quality is critical. The major attributes
of DSX® -3515 are best utilized in
exterior and interior trade sales coatings
in which both brush and roller application
properties are crucial.
DSX® -3515 should be formulated with
auxiliary thickeners such as attapulgite
clays, low molecular weight cellulosics or
biogums in order to achieve optimal
application, curing, and storage
properties.
Although DSX® -3515 can be added to paint
as is, it may be desirable to cut
viscosity for easier handling. DSX® -3515
can be diluted with a variety of
water-soluble coalescents, including butyl
carbitol and butoxytriglycol.
