SOLVENT-FREE RHEOLOGY MODIFIER
DSX 3551 is an extremely efficient nonionic associative thickener designed for use in latex coatings and adhesives.
It is another in a new and unique line of rheology modifiers that improve flow properties of latex-based systems. DSX
3551 is very similar in chemistry to DSX 3515, however, the performance properties imparted by DSX 3551 are quite different.
It is supplied as a low viscosity, solvent free product which allows for reduced storage requirements and reduced transportation costs.

The "associative" thickening mechanism employed by DSX 3551 results in the following performance advantages:

DSX 3551 is recommended for use in high volume solids paints and adhesives. DSX 3551 should be formulated with auxiliary thickeners such as attapulgite clays or low molecular weight cellulosics in order to achieve optimal application, curing, and storage properties.
