Use Foamaster® A-7 is a 100% active, liquid defoamer
that contains no silicone or mineral oil. Foamaster®
A-7 is a particularly well suited for ink defoaming
where printing press plates are swollen or softened
by mineral oil based defoamers. Foamaster® A-7 is
also recommended for adhesive or coating
applications where sensitivity to silicone or mineral
oil is of prime importance.
Poor, unstable Visual
(10 % in water) dispersionA defoamer level of 0.5 % based on the total weight
of the material to be defoamed is a good starting
point for determining the optimum use level.
No one defoamer can best service all manufacturing
procedures. Individual manufacturing methods will
determine the optimum amount of defoamers.
Proper recommendations for individual systems and
operating conditions can be made by our Technical
Representatives.
