Effective for paints and adhesives composed of these emulsions, Foamaster® JMY antifoamer is both convenient and economical to use. In addition, Foamaster® JMY has been found to be particularly effective for defoaming animal glues and for other applications where compatibility is of prime concern. Foamaster® JMY antifoamer protects the appearance and wearing qualities of paint by preventing the formation of foam (or air bubbles) during paint production and application. A liquid, Foamaster® JMY antifoamer requires no preparation before being added to polyvinyl acetate emulsion. It is chemically compatible with the other ingredients used in polyvinyl acetate paints and adhesives It is effective in low pH systems. It does not affect color development. Foamaster® JMY is totally silicone free Foamaster® JMY antifoamer is an economical product. It is inexpensive to ship and to store because it lacks water. It performs at low cost because comparatively small amounts are adequate. Application Recommended for defoaming of: Adhesives Polymer latices Two pounds of Foamaster® JMY antifoamer will defoam one hundred gallons of polyvinyl acetate emulsion paints or adhesives. This is approximately 1% defoamer based on the solids content of the polyvinyl acetate emulsion. In compounding these emulsions, plant procedures and preferences of the formulator will determine the proper time for the addition of Foamaster® JMY antifoamer.
