FOAMASTER® PD 1 can easily be mixed with all components of coatings and adhesives in powder form. It is preferably used in formulations based on polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, casein, soya protein, wheaten flour and dextrin. Dry mixtures containing FOAMASTER® PD 1 powder wet out faster and more uniformly. Entrained air which causes problems in pumping, trowelling and obtaining a complete cavity fill is eliminated. Due to the elimination of air bubbles, FOAMASTER® PD 1 prevents excessive shrinkage, porosity and other disadvantages of the applied cement or concrete. Furthermore, the impermeability is improved. Dosage The average dosage in concrete is usually 0.125%, based on cement weight. In other applications the added quantities are ranging from 0.1 to 0.4%, calculated on dry components. The minimum amount needed depends largely on the organic substances present and their foaming capacity, but can be readily determined by appropriate tests.
