NUVIS FX 1025 is a nonionic hydrophobic associative urethane thickening agent in water/glycol.
The product is extremely easy to incorporate in gloss and flat systems and can in most cases be post-added
as well without the need of making pre-dilutions. This thickener exhibits significantly higher ICI
viscosity values when compared to other conventional associative urethane thickeners.

In general, NUVIS FX 1025 can be added to the pigment grind or let-down stage. Optimum viscosity control is obtained if NUVIS FX 1025 is divided and added at both stages. Typically, NUVIS FX 1025 is effective at 0.2%–3.0% of the total formulation weight. The optimum concentration to be used depends on the individual systems and requirements.
VOC-free, low/medium and high shear nonionic hydrophobic associative urethane thickening agent in water/glycol. Used in aqueous gloss and flat emulsions/dispersions based on homo-, co-, and most ter- polymers and water dilutable systems. Offers high ICI viscosity values, high efficiency, easy incorporation, improved flow and leveling characteristics and very good resistance to bacterial degradation. Provides improved film-build appearance and brushing characteristics, high gloss levels, high degree of water resistance and increased scrub resistance. <br>
Use level: 0.2–3.0% of the total formulation weight.
