NUVIS FX 2060 can be applied to most non-aqueous coatings e.g., oxidativily drying alkyd, alkyd-melamine, acrylic, nitro-cellulose, chlori-nated rubber and epoxy coatings as well as systems containing zinc-powder or Aluminum. As anti-settling agent: NUVIS FX 2060 counteracts the formation of a hard unstirrable bottom-cake during storage of coatings. The effectiveness of NUVIS FX 2060 as an anti-settling agent is shown especially in primers and dipping varnishes. As anti-sagging agent: NUVIS FX 2060 counteracts the formation of sags both in dipping varnishes, spray paints and in varnishes applied by brush. Also after extended storage, NUVIS FX 2060 remains active. As a gelling agent for bentonite: NUVIS FX 2060 is applied as a swelling and wetting agent to various types of Bentonite-thickening agents. By using NUVIS FX 2060 instead of e.g. methanol, soft easily workable yet maximally gelled Bentonite-pastes are obtained. Good thickening anti-sagging properties anti-settling good levelling thixotropic behaviour Easy incorporation no seeding effects NUVIS FX 2060 can be added at any moment during the coating manufacture, however, in cases of application as an anti-settling agent, we recommend the addition before the dispersing process, because this will result in a better distribution of the product on the pigment. In most cases good results are obtained at a concentration of 0.2 – 1.0 %, calculated on the tot quantity of the paint. However, we would recommend to determine the optimum dosage in each case individually. Polyamide. Provides good thickening, good levelling, thixotropic behaviour, easy incorporation and no seeding effects. <br> Use level: 0.2–1.0%, calculated on the tot quantity of the paint.
