GENERAL INFORMATION
SER-AD FA 115 is an additive to improve the incorporation of universal tinting pastes into the base dispersion paint.
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
APPLICATION AND PROPERTIES
The addition of SER-AD FA 115 to the white base dispersion paint in which universal tinting pastes are worked-up prevents the surfactants in the tinting paste from being adsorbed onto the pigments and fillers in that dispersion paint. This adsorption would cause flocculation and separation of the pigment in the universal tinting paste, as a result of which the compatibility is improved. SER-AD FA 115 also works as a bridge between the dispersion paint and the universal tinting paste, as a result of which the compatibility is improved. FEATURE -> CONSEQUENCE Keeps surfactants of universal colorants from being adsorbed by the coloured base paint -> improves compatibility with universal colorants -> reduces color float and rub-up -> improves tint reproducibility -> optimises color development
Low molecular mass -> high mobility -> fast adsorption onto pigment and extender surfaces
DOSAGE
SER-AD FA 115 should be applied at a concentration of 0.2 - 0.4%, calculated on the total amount of dispersion paint, and should preferably be added before the dispersing process.
