The product is a liquid multi-functional polymer and is free of organic solvents. APPLICATION AND PROPERTIES The multi-functional structure of SER-AD FX 600 warrants a strong interaction with a wide range of pigments. In fact, SER-AD 600 is not only strong adsorbed onto inorganic pigments such as Titanium Dioxide and Iron Oxides (yellow, red, black) but also onto organic pigments such as Fast Red, Quindo Magenta, Phthalo Blue and -Green as well as onto Carbon Black and Extenders. The strong interaction and the specific polymeric structure of SER-AD FX 600 results in optimised stabilisation of pigments in aqueous systems. SER-AD 600 is used in conjunction with a wide variety of binders such as physically drying acrylic dispersions, air-drying alkyd emulsions, polyester-melamine, 2-pack epoxies, acrylates etc. SER-AD FX 600 is not only used in waterborne paints and printing inks but also in pigment concen-trates used for tinting paints, leather finishes, textiles, plastics, inks, etc. The main features of SER-AD FX 600 are: FEATURE -> CONSEQUENCE Optimised stabilisation against pigment flocculation -> high gloss levels -> optimal opacity -> consistent quality -> improved corrosion resistance Improved pigment wetting -> shorter grinding times -> cost savings -> reduced pigment costs Strongly absorbed on pigment surface -> optimises stability -> optimal opacity Excellent compatibility with a wide range of binders -> high gloss levels -> improved film appearance -> high water resistance Buffers pH -> consistent quality DOSAGE For maximum efficiency, SER-AD FX 600 is added prior for the grinding stage. The ideal procedure is to dissolve SER-AD FX 600 in the aqueous medium before the addition of the pigments and extenders. We recommend the following dosage of SER-AD FX 600 as a starting point: ? as a pigment dispersant in paint: 0.5% - 2.0% on total formulation. ? as a pigment dispersant in printing inks: 0.5% - 3.0% on total formulation. ? as a dispersant/vehicle in pigment concentrates: 1% - 15% on total weight of the pigment concentrate. As the composition and production procedures of coatings may vary enormously, it is recommended to check applicability in each case separately Highly effective pigment dispersing agent for use in waterborne industrial, protective coatings, gloss dispersion paints. Liquid multi-Functional polymer and free of organic solvents. The multi-functional structure warrants a strong interaction with a wide range of pigments. Not only strong adsorbed onto inorganic pigments such as titanium dioxide and iron oxides (yellow, red, black) but also onto organic pigments such as fast red, quindo magenta, phthalo blue and green as well as onto carbon black and extenders. Can be used in conjunction with a wide variety of binders such as physically drying acrylic dispersions, air-drying alkyd emulsions, polyester melamine, 2-pack epoxies, acrylates. Used in pigment concen-trates. Optimised stabilisation against pigment flocculation, provides high gloss levels, optimal opacity, consistent quality, improves corrosion resistance. Decreases grinding times. Optimises stability andopacity. Provides high water resistance. Buffers pH,consistent quality. Added prior for the grinding stage. The ideal procedure is to dissolve in the aqueous medium before the addition of the pigments and extenders. Recommended as a starting point: as a pigment dispersant in paint: 0.5% - 2.0% on total formulation, as a dispersant/vehicle in pigment concentrates: 1% - 15% on total weight of the pigment concentrate.
