APPLICATION AND PROPERTIES SERDAS MOM can be applied to organic enamel systems, e.g.: air-drying alkyd systems, alkyd-melamine baking enamels, acrylic isocyanate lacquers, nitrocellulose lacquers and acid-hardening lacquers. The effectiveness of SERDAS MOM is particularly obvious in flowing and dipping lacquers. The product can also be applied to spray paints and to paints that are applied by brush. SERDAS MOM prevents the formation of blisters and craters thereby ensuring a smooth finish of the paint film. It also counteracts the formation of foam that can occur during mixing, circulating, dipping or pouring. At the same time it also counteracts pigment floating. DOSAGE SERDAS MOM normally gives the best results when applied in a concentration ranging from 0.2 – 0.5% calculated on the total amount of paint. The optimum concentration to be used in a paint system can best be determined by means of a few tests. SERDAS MOM can be added to the finished paint by thorough stirring.
