Flowtone GST
Flowtone GST is a micronised kaolin modified castor wax rheology modifier for the control of sedimentation and sag resistance. The presence of kaolin makes Flowtone GST easier to disperse compared to Flowtone ST. Suited to coating systems based on aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbon/alcohol blends. Compared to the most basic castor wax rheology modifiers, Flowtone GST is more tolerant to stronger solvents. The result of this is a lowered risk of problems such as seeding and false-body. Also suitable for use in solvent-free systems.
Micronised kaolin modified castor wax. Used for solvent-free and solvent-based coating systems. Used for coating systems based on aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbon/alcohol blends. Imparts shear-thinning rheology with thixotropic viscosity recovery. Gives very good anti-settle properties and recoatability. More tolerant to stronger solvents. Kaolin makes dispersion easier.
