Halwedrol® FV-TN 6979/40W is aqueous anionic, hydroxyl group containing, polyurethane-modified copolymer emulsion.
Used in combination with appropriate isocyanate curing agents such as Bayhydur 3100 (Bayer AG) or Rhodocoat WT 2102 (Rhodia) for two component, water borne industrial finishes capable of ambient temperature or forced drying. Suitable for use on heavy-duty (e.g. rail and commercial) vehicles. Halwedrol FV-TN 6979/40 W is also suitable for stoving systems in combination with appropriate melamine resins as Cymel 373 (Acris).
It possesses very good chemical and weathering resistance, very high gloss, develops very high hardness and exhibits good hardness/elasticity behavior.
