A oligomeric siloxane containing both vinyl and methoxy groups.
DYNASYLAN 6490 is a vinyl silane concentrate. Is a colorless, nearly odorless liquid. is suitable as an adhesion promoter between inorganic materials (e.g. minerals, glass, metal) and organic polymers. In the presence of free-radical donors, such as peroxides, DYNASYLAN 6490 also acts as a crosslinking agent. The high boiling start of DYNASYLAN 6490, together with its high flash point, gives it several advantages with respect to safety and handling. From an environmental viewpoint it should be noted that the amount of released hydrolysis alcohol (VOC) is considerably less than for monomeric silanes.
