DESCRIPTION
Defoaming tests on acrylic coating
emulsions (utilising the shaker
method) have shown that
Dow Corning 6 Additive provides
quick and sustained defoaming action.
In high shear situations
Dow Corning 6 Additive shows
better foam supression than currently
used organic defoamers. When used
in water based flexographic inks,
Dow Corning 6 Additive provides
good foam control during ink
manufacture and application.
HOW TO USE
While dependant upon coating system
and application conditions, the
recommended addition level is 0.25%
to 0.75% Dow Corning 6
Additive as received to total coating
formulation.
Silicone emulsion foam control agent. Longlasting foam control for water based paint. Can correct cissing, pinholing and fish eyes. Does not impair flowout, levelling, gloss. Active at low addition levels.
Recommended usage level: 0.25% to 0.75% on total coating formulation.
