PAMAK 4-Special is a fatty acid produced by fractional distillation of tall oil. It is a reddish oily liquid of uniform properties and composition. PAMAK 4-Special fatty acid consists largely of straight chain, 18 carbon mono- and di-unsaturated fatty acids, mainly oleic and linoleic, as shown below. This fatty acid can be used in the manufacture of soaps, emulsifiers, protective coatings, tempering oils, flotation reagents, and a wide variety of other products.
