PAMAK 4 tall oil fatty acid is produced by fractional distillation of tall oil. It is a pale, low rosin grade of fatty acids, readily handled, oily liquid of uniform properties and composition. PAMAK 4 tall oil fatty acid consists largely of straight chain, 18 carbon mono- and di-unsaturated fatty acids, mainly oleic and linoleic, as shown below. This low rosin fatty acid is used in the manufacture of soaps, emulsifiers, protective coatings, tempering oils, flotation reagents, and a wide variety of other products.
