Silicone-free defoamer with levelling properties
Composition: Solution of defoaming substances
Properties: EFKA-2021 can be used as a silicone-free defoamer for various coating
systems. It functions well during the application of paints and lacquers,
and also prevents the entrapment of air during processing steps such as
stirring, pumping etc.
In addition EFKA-2021 helps to prevent surface irregularities to give the
smoothest possible surface.
Application: EFKA-2021 is especially suited for solvent-based coatings if foam
formation is a problem when applied by spraying or curtain coating.
EFKA-2021 can be used in:
? polyurethane coatings
? acid-curing coatings
? air-drying and stoving alkyd-paints
Addition: 0.5 - 2.0% on total formulation
Incorporation: EFKA-2021 should be added at the end of the manufacture of the batch.
