EFKA-4500 stabilizes the pigment dispersion of difficult inorganic and organic pigments and improves the following properties:
gloss
colour strength
flocculation stability
anti-flooding behaviour
EFKA-4500 has self-emulsifying properties, but due to the nature of the molecular structure, there is minimal effect on water-resistance. This is because EFKA-4500 is itself not water soluble.
Primary hydroxyl groups enable EFKA-4500 to crosslink with amino resins under stoving conditions, thus losing all hydrophilic character.
EFKA-4500 is recommended for use in all kinds of high quality water-based industrial coatings.
High molecular weight modified polyacrylate in sec. butanol. Used as a dispersant for deflocculation of difficult inorganic and organic pigments in all kinds of high quality water-based industrial coatings. Improves gloss, colour strength, flocculation stability and anti-flooding behaviour. Offers self-emulsifying properties. Can be crosslinked with amino resins under stoving conditions.
