Properties: EFKA-5066 helps to prevent interfacial tension between the hydrophilic
pigments/extenders and the binder. Advantages resulting from the poly-functional
composition are:
reduced dispersion time
reduced pigment sedimentation
prevention of flooding and floating
stabilisation of the pigment dispersion
Application: EFKA-5066 is especially suited for medium to high-polarity binder
systems, for example:
alkyd/amino resin combinations
nitrocellulose systems
polyurethane systems
acrylic polyisocyanate systems (2-pack acrylics)
chlorinated polymers
EFKA-5066 is not compatible with white spirit or paints which are diluted
with white spirit.
Incorporation: EFKA-5066 should be added prior to the dispersion process.
High molecular weight wetting and dispersing additive to prevent flooding and sedimentation of pigments. Helps to prevent interfacial tension between the hydrophilic pigments/extenders and the binder. Advantages resulting from the poly-functional composition. Reduces dispersion time. Reduces pigment sedimentation. Prevention of flooding and floating. Provides stabilisation of the pigment dispersion.
Suited for medium to high-polarity binder systems, alkyd/amino, nitrocellulose, polyurethane and chlorinated polymer, acrylic polyisocyanate (2-pack acrylics), chlorinated polymers. Not compatible with white spirit or systems diluted with white spirit.
Should be added prior the dispersion process.
