Application: EFKA-6700 is used in air-drying and stoving coating systems.
It delays/prevents thickening which can occur as a result of oxidation or
condensation of the binder. It also reduces the reaction of the pigments
with the vehicle. EFKA-6700 significantly prolongs the shelf life of a
coating.
Incorporation: EFKA-6700 should be added before grinding. Already gelled materials can
be restored to processing viscosity by the addition of EFKA-6700. In such
cases the addition levels should be two or three times higher than given
above.
Anti-gelling agent and viscosity stabiliser for air-drying and stoving coating systems. Delays/prevents thickening which can occur as a result of oxidation or condensation of the binder. Reduces the reaction of the pigments with the vehicle. Prolongs the shelf life of a coating.
Recommended usage level: 0.5 - 1.0 % on total formulation. Should be added before grinding. Gelled materials can be restored to processing viscosity by the addition of it.
