depending upon the degree of suspension, the
rheological properties or viscosity required.
exterior architectural primer
Highly beneficiated, easily dispersible powdered smectite clay. Used as a rheological additive for water-borne paint systems. Provides thermostable aqueous phase viscosity control and thixotropy. Enhances texturing and stippling effects. Improves workability/application. Does not impair throwing power in electrostatic coating systems. Offers fast water release, emulsion stabilisation, and good stability in electrostatic coating baths. Prevents hard settlement of pigments/fillers. Reduces syneresis. Minimises floating/flooding of pigments. <br>
Applications: exterior architectural primer, corrosion-inhibitive primers, electrodeposition coatings, emulsion paints, foundry paints/foundry resins (washes), paper coatings and appliance and metal furniture topcoat. <br>
Use level: 0.3-1.0% by weight of total formulation.
