Applications Agro chemicals Adhesives Ceramics Cementitious systems Cosmetics Emulsion paints Foundry paints Plaster-type compounds Polishes and cleaners Textile finishes Waxes BENTONE LT rheological additive rheological properties highly efficient thickener imparts high viscosity provides thermostable aqueous phase viscosity control imparts thixotropy application performance prevents hard settlement of pigments/fillers reduces syneresis minimises floating/flooding of pigments provides wet edge/open time improves water retention of plasters improves wash and scrub resistance of paints system stability pH stable (3–11) electrolyte stable stabilises emulsions compatible with synthetic resin dispersions polar solvents non-ionic & anionic wetting agents easy to use can be incorporated as powder or as an aqueous pre-gel Typical addition levels are 0.1–1.0% BENTONE LT additive by weight of total formulation, depending upon the degree of suspension, the rheological properties or viscosity required. Organically modified clay additive. Used as a highly efficient thickener for water-borne systems such as latex paints and foundry paints. Imparts high viscosity and thixotropy. Provides thermostable aqueous phase viscosity control. Prevents hard settlement of pigments/fillers. Reduces syneresis. Minimises floating/flooding of pigments. Gives wet edge/open time. Improves water retention of plasters and wash and scrub resistance of paints. Offers compatibility with synthetic resin dispersions and polar solvents. Can be incorporated as powder or as an aqueous pre-gel. <br> Use level: 0.1-1.0% by weight of total formulation.
