DAPRO® FX 2060 is an effective polyamide activator for bentonite and hectorite based organoclay pregels which, increases the sag resistance and reduces pigment settling of non-aqueous coatings.
Organoclay pregels are frequently used for poor-wetting resin systems,High solids, low VOC systems,non-thixotropic millbases and clear coating systems.
APPLICATION AND PROPERTIES
DAPRO® FX 2060 activated bentonite and hectorite pregels are used with most non-aqueous coatings including; alkyds, alkyd-melamine, acrylic, nitrocellulose,chlorinated rubber and epoxy coatings as well as systems containing zinc or aluminum.
By using DAPRO® FX 2060 instead of polar solvents,a soft and paste-like, yet optimally activated pregel is obtained. Typical advantages include improved activation, reduced drying of the pregel,excellent sag resistance,excellent anti-settling properties.
