DAPRO S-65 Interfacial Tension Modifier acts as an intermediate between areas of high and low surface tension either within a liquid(coating,adhesive or ink)or between the liquid and the substrate.It will eliminate of diminish film defects such as crawling,fish eyes,and some forms of cratering.DAPRO S-65 can also promote spreading and uniform film formation on hard-to-wet or contaminated surfaces.In high gloss applications,this may yield higher gloss and improved distinctness of image.DAPRO S-65 provided excellent recoatability.
Applications
Dapro S-65 is compatible with solvent based or solvent free coatings,adhesives and inks.It is especially effective in high solids and conventional polyesters and acrylics.
Incorporation
DAPRO S-65 is a low viscosity fluid that can be easily incorporated to the system as supplied.
DAPRO S-65 is suitable for addition at any stage of manufacture of pigmented or clear coatings,adhesives or inks.
Addition of 0.1-0.5% of DAPRO S-65 on total formulation will provide optimum performance.
Interfacial tension modifier, eliminates or diminishes film defects such as crawling, fish-eyes and some forms of cratering. Promotes spreading and uniform film formation on hard-to-wet or contaminated surfaces. Provides excellent recoatability.
In solventborne systems, more effective in high solids and conventional polyesters and acrylics. Improves flow and leveling of high solids systems sufficiently to allow release of bubbles that might otherwise be entrapped. FDA cleared non-volatile components.
Recommended usage levels: 0.1-0.5%.
