Highly effective in wetting and dispersing pigments in aqueous systems, and stabilizing the finished dispersion to prevent reflocculation and viscosity drift. Compatible with most water-reducible alkyds, acrylics, polyesters and epoxies, as well as trade sales industrial and maintenance finishes. Can be used as independent vehicle or as additive and will not interfere with gloss, film integrity or water resistance of finished coatings. For optimal results, should be used in systems that have a pH of 6 to 12 to avoid possible shock. Two percent of it added to a mill base will significantly improve the dispersion characteristics of waterborne vehicles. In high-gloss coatings, the improved dispersion will often yield higher gloss and improve distinctness of image. Effective with titanium dioxide, organics yellows, reds and oranges, carbon blacks, extender pigments. When used as the only dispersing agent for the in-plant dispersions, provides: excellent color acceptance in a wide variety of aqueous systems, long-term Storage stability, non-flaking in part-full containers, resistance to microorganisms, non-settling, freeze/thaw stability.
