ASP® hydrous aluminosilicates
Engelhard specialty kaolins improve performance, lower costs, increase efficiency, and enhance the value of customer products and processes in theink, paints and many other industries. Major product lines includeASP®.
For example, in the paints and coatings industry, Engelhard specialty kaolin extender pigments are used to reduce titanium dioxide and improve film properties, package stability and reduce formulation costs of industrial coatings, as well as improve the optical qualities of paints, namely hiding power and tint strength.
Engelhard ASP hydrous aluminosilicates are used as extenders and additives in the coatings, ink and paint industries. They are available in a wide range of grades (see below) and offer many performance benefits, including excellent titanium dioxide extension, improved color, gloss control, dispersion, stain resistance and enamel holdout. In inks, ASP products improve color development and holdout to prevent strikethrough and reduce costs.
ASP NC X-1: Engelhard ASP NC for use in water-borne coatings.
Delaminated, hydrous aluminosilicate. Used as an extender and additive in the coatings, ink and paint industries. Offers very good titanium dioxide extension, improved color, gloss control, dispersion, stain resistance and enamel holdout. Improves film properties, package stability and optical qualities such as hiding power and tint strength. Suits particularly for use in water-borne coatings.
