Attagel® specialty attapulgite products
Engelhard Attagel specialty attapulgite products are excellent thixotropic thickening agents for water-borne and solvent systems in paint and foundry coatings. Thixotropy allows materials such as paint and ink to spread easily when rolled, sprayed or brushed, and then stiffen at a controlled rate. And Attagel thickeners are perfect for these types of applications. For example, Attagel thickeners offer rapid dispersion and effective thixotropic thickening in paints and coatings.

Attagel 50: ultrafine, premium grade; recommended for use in aqueous or solvent-borne coating systems such as primers and topcoats, maintenance and marine finishes, semi-gloss and gloss enamels, as well as asphalt coatings and plastisols.
