Product Description:
Silquest® TEOS Technical Grade silane is an intermediate for use in a wide variety of processes. It is, at minimum, 95% free of impurities and may be used as an efficient crosslinking agent, binder and catalyst. Its chemical structure is compatible with a wide range of solvents and it is a liquid source of silica equivalent. Silquest TEOS Technical Grade silane is recommended as a binder in precision investment castings or as a second backup casting coating. It can also be used as a component in zinc-based primer coatings for corrosion-resistant paints. Additionally, it is useful as a crosslinking agent in the manufacture of sealants, or as a raw material in sol-gel systems. In the chemical processing industry, it can serve as a catalyst when used with cesium fluoride, for Michael addition reactions. On glass and plastic lens materials, Silquest TEOS Technical Grade silane provides a scratch-resistant hard-coat to the finish.
