SILICONE RESIN SOLUTION
GP-422 is a concentrated mixture of a reactive, further curable silicone resin in an octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane carrier. GP-422 forms a continuous solid resin film, when applied to substrates and allowed to air dry. Curing to a solvent resistant coating takes place over a prolonged time period at room temperature, but may be accelerated by heating at 200° C for one hour. The cured film has excellent water repellency.
GP-422 is suggested for use as a binder in coatings intended for application to substrates exposed to high temperatures, and as a component of masonry water-repellent formulations. Other applications include the following:

Can be cured over a prolonged time period at room temperature and by heating at 200° C for one hour. Provides water repellency. Can be used as a paint additive to improve weathering and in protective coating.
