Great Lakes PHT4-Diol, tetrabromophthalate diol, is a reactive flame retardant
intermediate. Great Lakes PHT4-Diol is a viscous, light brown colored liquid which
exhibits excellent compatibility with a broad range of commercial polyols and blowing
agents.
Great Lakes PHT4-Diol is recommended as a reactive flame retardant for Class 1 and Class 2
rigid polyurethane foam. Great Lakes PHT4-Diol foams can be formulated for excellent
physical properties or favorable economics. Other application areas include polyurethane RIM,
elastomers, coatings, adhesives and fibers.
Viscous, light brown colored, tetrabromophthalate diol. Used as a reactive flame retardant in polyurethane coatings. Offers very good compatibility with a broad range of commercial polyols and blowing agents, and very good physical properties.
