Paint & Primers Our high purity, micronized SPARWITE® functional fillers are used in specialty paint and coatings formulations to provide the following benefits: increased water and corrosion resistance, increased pigment dispersion, improved paint handling and ease of application, improved sanding properties (primers/metal coatings). Using barite pigment extenders translates into added cost savings, as the optimal Pigment Volume Concentration (PVC) is reached with the lowest volume of pigment extender. Powder Coatings Our high purity, high density, micronized SPARWITE® functional fillers are used in compounding polyurethane and polyester powder coatings systems to provide the following benefits: enhanced resistance to wearing and friction, increased dimensional stability and density, increased water and corrosion resistance, reinforced coating layers that are easy to grind. SPECIALTY PRINTING INKS: SPARWITE® micronized barite products are suitable functional fillers/extenders for solvent based printing inks. Very fine, easily dispersed, high purity, micronized barium sulfate white pigment. Used as a filler and extender in coatings and primers, polyurethane and polyester powder coatings and solvent-based printing inks. Offers high specific gravity and uniform particle distribution. Provides increased water and corrosion resistance and pigment dispersion and improved paint handling, ease of application and sanding properties (primers/metal coatings). Gives enhanced resistance to wearing and friction and increased dimensional stability and density.
