Paroil®, Dover Chemical's brand of liquid chlorinated paraffins, is based on the chlorination of waxes and normal paraffins.
Paroil® products are used in intumescent flame retardant coatings. Paroil® products plasticize the coating.
For water-based coatings, the Paroil® products can be readily emulsified.
Medium Chain Chlorinated Paraffins, C14-C17
Medium chain chlorinated paraffin based on the chlorination of waxes and normal paraffins. Used in intumescent flame retardant coatings. Offers plasticization of the coating. Can be readily emulsified for water-based coatings.
