Paroil®, Dover Chemical's brand of liquid chlorinated paraffins, is based on the chlorination of waxes and normal paraffins.
Paroil® products are used in intumescent flame retardant coatings. Paroil® products plasticize the coating.
For water-based coatings, the Paroil® products can be readily emulsified.
Long Chain Chlorinated Paraffins, C20+
Long chain chlorinated paraffin based on the chlorination of waxes and normal paraffins. Used in intumescent flame retardant coatings. Offers plasticization of the coating. Can be readily emulsified for water-based coatings.
