It is extremely effective against a wide spectrum of wood-destroying micro-organisms, insects and marine borers. Based on its ability to control wood rotting fungi and to be handled safely, FUNGITROL® TINOX® preservative is receiving increased attention in treatment of millwork, siding and a variety of structural materials. FUNGITROL® TINOX® preservative is also widely used for other applications, including water treatment, adhesives preservation and the prevention of fungal growth on exterior coating films. Do not use in interior paints or coatings. FUNGITROL® TINOX® preservative: Controls wood-rotting fungi Has low water solubility Is adsorbed on celluloses (resists leaching) Is colorless Does not cause swelling of wood Does not corrode metal Can be handled safely Is readily formulated in solvent blends or in aqueous systems Bis(tri-n-butyltin)oxide Colorless, biologically active bis(tri-n-butyltin)oxide. Used as a wood preservative, and in formulating microbiocides, fungicides and antifouling coatings. Offers high efficiency against a wide spectrum of wood-destroying micro-organisms, insects and marine borers. Possesses low water solubility. Does not cause swelling of wood and does not corrode metal. Can be used for prevention of fungal growth on exterior coating films. Can not be used in interior paints or coatings. Suits for use in solvent and water-based systems.
