NUOCIDE® 2010 is a broad-spectrum dual acting biocide for the control of fungi and algae. This dispersion is designed for use in waterborne latex paints, caulks, stucco and other coating applications. It demonstrates excellent performance in these substrates, showing the following principal features:

Synergistic blend, conferring short-term fast protection as well as long lasting film endurance due to the presence of a second biocide with very slow leaching properties.

NUOCIDE® 2010 is an aqueous dispersion containing 30% total actives. It can be added during the pigment grind operation of paint manufacture, during or after letdown, or post-added to the finished product. To ensure a uniform mixture of NUOCIDE® 2010, gentle mixing is recommended before use.
The amount of NUOCIDE® 2010 required to provide adequate protection to a formulation depends upon the microbiological susceptibility of the individual product. Our experience suggests that levels of NUOCIDE® 2010 at 0.4-1.5% by weight in the final formulation are sufficient for effective prevention of microbial defacement of the surface of a paint film. However, it is recommended that several levels of NUOCIDE® 2010 be tested in the product prior to the selection of a use-level.
