SURFADONE® LP-300 is sparingly soluble in water (0.002 weight percent) and soluble in most organic solvents. It is a low foaming, nonionic surfactant with an HLB of 3 and has no critical micelle concentration (CMC). Like its lower homolog, SURFADONE® LP-300 interacts with anionic surfactants forming mixed micelles which greatly enhances its solubility resulting in a synergistic surface tension reduction and wetting enhancement. Appropriate combinations of SURFADONE® LP-300 and anionic surfactants produce viscous solutions and gels.
Hydrophobic, low foaming, non-ionic alkylpyrrolidone. Used as a very good wetting agent and an effective dispersing and cleaning aid in printing inks, paper, architectural, oem, UV and release coatings.
