Disparlon thixotropic agents (Table 1) offer formulators a wide choice of products for conventional and high solids systems.
Their primary advantages over other types of thixotropes (organo-clay, castor wax or fumed silica) are:
Superior shear thinning
Non-seeding
Easier brushing and spraying at similar viscosities
Maximum anti-sagging/anti-settling
Low application viscosities
Excellent package stability on aging
and pigment dependent type which imparts rheology by setting up a network structure with pigments, fillers and particle swelling thixotropes.

Oxidized polyethylene. Used as a pigment adsorption type anti-sag and anti-settling agent for all non-aqueous pigmented systems. Provides superior shear thinning, non-seeding properties, easy brushing and spraying, very good anti-sagging/anti-settling, low application viscosities and very good package stability on aging. <br>
Use level: 0.3-1%.
